- Spooktacular
On October 16, head on over to the 5th annual Spooktacular in Pinckney! Activities in the square run from 6-8pm, and the Spooky Forest runs from 6:30-8:30pm. With Trunk or Treat, community businesses pledging support, and the free cost of admission, this is a must for some quality family fun!
- Howell’s Sunday Farmers Market
With only a few weeks left to stock up on the finest locally grown produce, plants, and homemade goods and crafts, head on over to the farmers market in downtown Howell. It runs each Sunday from 9am-2pm outside of the Livingston County Courthouse. There’s always great entertainment as you shop!
- The Legend of Sleepy Howell
Head to downtown Howell on Saturday, October 24 to experience the 13th annual Legend of Sleepy Howell! From 6-9pm there will be activities such as trick or treating, games, costume contests, live music, hayrides, campfires and s’mores, entertainers, a hay maze, inflatables for kids and teens, food vendors, the Headless Horseman 5K/10k & Monster Mile, a free showing of Hocus Pocus, and so much more!
- Brighton Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit
Take a stroll through Brighton and enjoy the crisp autumn air while viewing beautiful sculptures throughout the city. With 4 different public art trails to choose from, you can take in the city’s sights and gorgeous art work all at the same time.
- Lakelands Trail State Park
Load up the family and head over to Lakelands Trail State Park for some outdoor adventures! With over 26 miles of trails to choose from, mountain bikers, walkers, and even equestrians love this area. Take in the gorgeous scenery, changing colors of the leaves, and even stop in at local shops for lunch or ice cream!
- Mt. Brighton Hot Cocoa Classic
Gorgeous autumn scenery, a fun morning run, and hot chocolate? What could be better? On November 7, the Hot Cocoa Classic takes place on Mt. Brighton with fun for the whole family! The Classic 5K covers the scenic grounds of the Mt. Brighton Golf Course, while the Marshmallow Mountain Mile covers the grassy terrain of Mt. Brighton. When the races are finished, there’s a lovely fireside party for everyone to enjoy! Packet pickup starts at 7:30am.
- Holiday Glow
Head on over to Brighton on November 21 to have a blast at the annual Holiday Glow. With holiday music, local dance performances, hay rides, train rides, a petting zoo, holiday treats, and even Santa himself, this is a great way to bid farewell to fall and hello to the holidays!
- Fantasy of Lights
The Fantasy of Lights is a longstanding tradition in Howell, noted for its fun and for closing out the fall season. Many consider this fun event to be the start of the holidays! On Friday, November 27 come to the festival to see an amazing parade, holiday lights, and even Santa himself! The fun starts at 6pm with the Fantasy 5K run, with the parade following at 7pm.
